Category 01 – If you are an international student holding citizenship of the following countries OR have completed a Bachelor’s education or a similar qualifying degree coursework from the below mentioned countries, with English as a medium of instruction: 

Botswana, Cameroon, Eswatini, Ethiopia, Fiji, Gambia, Ghana, India, Jamaica, Kenya, Kiribati, Lesotho, Liberia, Malawi, Marshall Islands, Mauritius, Federated States of Micronesia, Namibia, Nauru, Nigeria, Pakistan, Palau, Papua New Guinea, Philippines, Rwanda, Samoa, Seychelles, Sierra Leone, Singapore, Solomon Islands, Republic of South Africa, Sudan, Republic of South Sudan, Tanzania, Tonga, Tuvalu, Uganda, Vanuatu, Zambia, Zimbabwe

In this case, you will need to submit an English Language Certificate indicating English as the medium of instruction issued from their last academic institution.

KAIST Graduate Admissions: Spring 2024 intake: When to Apply? 


1. The applications for KAIST Graduate programs are now open and will remain open until 14th September, 5 P.M (2023) - South Korean Time. 

2. The submission deadline for hard copy documentation including a printout of the application and other required materials for eligibility check must reach the KAIST office by September 25th, 6 P.M. (2023) - South Korean Time. 

Please note however that one does not need to send the hard copy of the Letter of Recommendation to KAIST University, as LORs for admission purposes are received online only. 

3. You can also check the status of your document arrival at the university by visiting the link - https://apply.kaist.ac.kr/intergradapply and logging in with your credentials. If any documentation is missing from an application, one will be informed through the document submission board within the online application portal. 

Once the application is submitted, interviews if required will be conducted between 30th October and 17th November 2023, information regarding which will be shared well in advance with the candidate through email. 

4. Lastly, the applications for admissions will be reviewed between Oct 30th, 2023 – Dec. 11th, 2023, while the scholarship review will take place between Dec. 12th, 2023 – Dec. 13th, 2023.

5.The DECISION NOTIFICATION will be posted on the ONLINE APPLICATION SYSTEM on December 15th, 2023, at 5 P.M. South Korean Local time, along with a copy of the registration guide for the applicant.
