On August 30, 2024, Saskatchewan introduced two new streams under the Saskatchewan Immigrant Nominee Program (SINP). These programs, the Agriculture Talent Pathway and Health Talent Pathway, are designed to attract skilled professionals to address the province's increasing demands in the agriculture and healthcare industries.
Agriculture Talent Pathway
To qualify for the Agriculture Talent Pathway under SINP, applicants must meet the following criteria:
- Achieve at least a CLB 4 in language proficiency tests.
- Have successfully completed high school or attained a higher level of education.
- Have one year of full-time experience in the relevant job in the past three years, or over a period of six months (780 hours) of full-time work with the employer offering the job. This work doesn’t require to be constant.
- Demonstrate a commitment to living and working in Saskatchewan.
- Hold a permanent, full-time job offer in Saskatchewan’s agriculture industry.
Eligible Occupations
The Agriculture Talent Pathway targets the following National Occupation Codes (NOCs):
- NOC 75101: Material Handlers
- NOC 85101: Harvesting Labourers
- NOC 85103: Nursery and Greenhouse Labourers
- NOC 94204: Mechanical Assemblers and Inspectors
- NOC 95106: Labourers in Food and Beverage Processing

Health Talent Pathway
The eligibility requirements for the Health Talent Pathway under the SINP vary depending on whether you are in the federal Express Entry pool. However, some conditions apply to all applicants:
- You must be eligible for Saskatchewan licensing (if applicable).
- Have relevant post-secondary qualifications for the job offer, such as a master’s, bachelor’s, or a two- or three-year diploma or degree.
- Show your intent to live and work in Saskatchewan.
For Non-Express Entry Candidates:
- Should have at least CLB 5 in English or French.
- Should have six months (780 hours) of full-time work experience in Saskatchewan with the employer who provided the Job Approval Letter, or one year of relevant work experience in the last five years.
For Express Entry Candidates:
- Should have a legal Express Entry profile and Job Seeker Code.
- Must have at least CLB 7 in English or French.
- Should have one year of skilled work experience in the proposed occupation in the last five years (if applying outside Canada).
Eligible Occupations
The Health Talent Pathway includes the following National Occupation Codes (NOCs):
- NOC 30010: Managers in Healthcare
- NOC 32112: Dental Technologists and Technicians
- NOC 32101: Licensed Practical Nurses
- NOC 32100: Opticians
- NOC 31103: Veterinarians

Saskatchewan’s Minister of Immigration and Career Training, Jeremy Harrison, highlighted that these new pathways are part of a larger initiative to tackle labor shortages in the province. He stressed that adding more immigration options and enhancing credential recognition will help Saskatchewan employers find the skilled workers they need for business growth.
Application Process for both the PNPs

Your employer will also need to obtain a Job Approval Letter from the SINP. Additionally, ensure that you:
- Follow the application process guidelines carefully.
- Complete, scan, and submit all the required documents.
Applications with incomplete or untranslated documents will be returned. In case your application has been rejected you will be receiving a letter requesting you to reapply.
