Each year, numerous individuals from Saudi Arabia seek to relocate to Canada. If you live in Saudi Arabia and want to move to Canada, you can find information about your immigration choices on this website.

Why Choose Canada Over Saudi Arabia for Immigration?

People from Saudi Arabia prefer immigrating to Canada because it provides abundant economic opportunities in various sectors like information technology, healthcare, and engineering.

Canada is known for its safety, political stability, strong economy, advanced healthcare facilities, and well-respected education system.

Many Saudis come to Canada as skilled workers in different fields. With Canada planning to welcome more immigrants every year, the number of Saudi residents moving to Canada is expected to rise further.

How to Move from Saudi Arabia to Canada?

People from Saudi Arabia have a good chance of qualifying because of factors such as proficient English skills, education, and work experience.

Federal Skilled Worker Program

If you've never resided in Canada before, the Federal Skilled Worker Program (FSWP) might be your best bet. It enables applicants with work experience and no connections to Canada or job offer to apply for permanent residence.

This program targets skilled workers who can utilize their foreign Professional background, educational attainment, linguistic abilities, and additional personal qualifications to establish themselves economically in Canada. Specifically, candidates must meet these minimum requirements:

  • Possess one year of uninterrupted full-time or equivalent paid employment history within the last decade in a skilled occupation categorized under the National Occupational Classification (NOC) TEER category 0, 1, 2, or 3.
  • Demonstrate language ability equivalent to Canadian Language Benchmark (CLB) Attain a score of 7 in either English or French in all areas of proficiency (reading, writing, listening, and speaking).

  • Achieve a minimum of 67 points on the six immigration criteria established by IRCC selection factors.
  • Demonstrate that you possess adequate financial resources for your own needs your family to settle in Canada.

What to Do If You Qualify for the FSWP

The FSWP is among the trio of programs overseen by the Canadian government’s Express Entry application system.

Once you confirm your eligibility for the FSWP, you can upload your Express Entry profile to the Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) website.

After uploading their profiles, candidates from Saudi Arabia receive a The Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score is determined by factors such as education, age, work experience, and language skills.

Every two weeks, IRCC invites the highest-scoring candidates in the pool to apply for permanent residence. Additionally, IRCC aims to process applications within six months under Express Entry.

The objective is to accept more than 110,000 permanent residents via Express Entry each year. These factors make Express Entry an attractive option and the quickest way for economic class candidates to gain permanent residence in Canada.

Provincial Nominee Program

The Provincial Nominee Program (PNP) is another significant immigration choice for Saudi Arabia residents.

Canada, a federal nation comprising 10 provinces and three territories, allows each region to run its PNP. This program enables provinces and territories, each with its own population and economy, to create immigration routes tailored to their economic and demographic requirements.

Through the PNP, provinces and territories can select skilled worker candidates for immigration to their areas.

Residents of Saudi Arabia seeking immigration to Canada may qualify to apply directly through a PNP if they meet certain criteria. Alternatively, they can enter the Express Entry pool and be considered for nomination by a province. If nominated through an Express Entry-linked stream, they receive an additional 600 CRS points, significantly improving their likelihood of receiving an Invitation to Apply (ITA) for permanent residency in a subsequent Express Entry draw.
